Brownie-Redondo Beach, California
Brownie is a beautiful six year old female red nosed pitbull.  She is spayed and up to
date on vaccinations and microchipped.  Brownie is currently in Redondo Beach,
CALIFORNIA living with the vet that took her in when she was abandoned in July of
2010.

Brownie is very sweet and walks well on a leash.  She does have some anxiety, but that's
to be expected considering what happened to her.  Brownie likes almost all other
animals and people as long as she is introduced slowly.  She guards the backyard and
barks if anyone tries to come in, so you don't have to worry about intruders.  She loves
to be petted and to cuddle.  She is good with cats and didn't react even when Reese
swatted her in the face.  She's a great example of a wonderful pitbull.

For more information on how to adopt Brownie please send an email to the following
email address:
ltaylor179@aol.com   There will be an adoption fee with this adoption.

REE has been ADOPTED!!!! REE is an 8 year old intact male pit bull who was
surrendered to a local boarding facility by an owner who no longer wanted him. NAU
has agreed to neuter him this month as part of their teaching program. He loves all
people, including children. He is okay with most dogs, but a little growly with intact
males. He is curious but not aggressive toward cats. He is healthy, energetic, and
current on all vaccinations. He is a VERY sweet, beautiful boy with a "jack-o-lantern"
smile and a waggly tail.

Ree has been the perfect, well behaved boy but he is still unsure as to why his owner
hasn't come back for him and is getting restless being in a "not really home" place! He
is searching for a human companion to be his best friend. Can you help? Depending on
the location, we will deliver him to an approved foster or forever home, or at least
provide a leg of his journey.

Thank you for any assistance you can give! Please call Lori at 605-484-2413 for more
info about adopting or fostering Ree.
Ree
Please circulate this widely, as our request is an unusual one and it will be difficult to find a home
for these pups. They are in the Sheridan, WY shelter.

We had two chocolate Labrador puppies brought into our shelter, Little Ann and Dan. A Good
Samaritan had found them loose on a highway (probably dumped) and cared for them a few days,
trying to find an owner, before bringing them to us. They are approximately 6-8 months old, one
male, one female.

Each has glaucoma in one eye. The male’s other eye looks normal and responds to light but he’s
totally blind so we’re thinking he has partially detached retina. The female can see a little from her
other eye but appears to have entropion on the lower eyelid but it could be a spastic entropion.
Both have severely deformed shoulders and front legs likely due to skeletal dysplasia, causing
their front legs to bow out like a bulldog. Both are extremely nice dogs, very social, loving and
trusting. The eyes with glaucoma need to be removed, and the male’s other eye may develop
glaucoma in the future. Everything else seems to be normal.

These two are very bonded to each other, with Dan relying on Little Ann for assistance and
comfort. We want to give these two a chance to live out their lives, but realize that it will be difficult
to find a home that will take two special needs dogs. A picture of Dan is attached and more are
available. If a home or rescue can be found for these two pups, they will be altered, vaccinated and
microchipped before leaving here. Please contact dogncat@fiberpipe.net or email us at
ewoof@wyoming.com if you are interested in adopting/rescuing these pups.
