I too, lost my Boxer,,Barron after only 8 years. To this day I miss him terribly, and when I read or hear stories of such all the emotions come flooding in. We are truly the lucky ones in this dog/human relationship. I just wanted to say, thank you for sharing your story. May the hurt go away, but keep his memory close with you at all times.. Onyx spent a little time looking around as if she was still looking for Jack. Of course when I called them I also called for Jack. I've dubbed her as "chaos" since her bouts' of puppy-driven activities resemble more like a nuclear bomb went off (being deaf & being a puppy has a lot to do with that!). She is a happy girl who loves to play and enjoys meeting new people & dogs - especially those who want to play all day!
