Beans
Beans is a handsome young flashy fawn male with natural ears and a cropped tail.   He is capable of
climbing any height fence, but only seems to want to if you are on the other side or if he's left out by himself
for awhile.  He's happy to play with the other dogs, do his business, but then he wants to know where his
humans are. He's a well behaved boy that is happy to be out of the shelter.  He is very thin, so he'll have to
put on some weight before he leaves rescue.  He is house and kennel trained, and not hard to handle on a
leash.

So far, Beans has been very good with another female boxer.  His only issue was initially when food was
involved.  Seeing how thin he is, that is understandable. He is NOT protective of anything when we try to
remove things from him.  He's a really nice dog that just needs the security of a family that will love him.

UPDATE 11-25-11:
Beans' Thanksgiving Adventure
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning just as my foster mom was putting the turkey in the
oven, I decided it was time for an adventure!!  I was outside playing with Ryder and Fletcher when I
decided to make a great escape.  Over the fence I went.  I ran and ran and ran, until I realized, I was lost.  I
hear my foster mom and day spent most of the day driving around looking for me, hoping someone would
call the numbers on the multiple identification tags on my collar, but no such luck.  So......off to the shelter I
went.  Somewhere along the line, all of my ID tags and my rabies tag was removed from my collar.  I'm not
sure why anyone would do that, but they did.  I showed the shelter staff right away how I could crawl right out
of a six foot chain link kennel. So they  had to put me in a covered kennel. That did the trick, I was trapped, I
was not getting turkey, I was eating shelter food, listening to the other animals grumble about missing out
on turkey too. :o(

I started to get worried, my eyes turn bright red when I'm scared.  Was my foster mom and dad going to
find me? They thought my ID tags would get a phone call. They thought my microchip would do the trick.
NONE of that worked.  Thank goodness my foster mom volunteered at the shelter for many years, she
knew to check there first, because things like this can happen. Sure enough, THERE I WAS!!!  I was
soooo happy when my mom and dad showed up to pick me up. I slept ALL the way home.  From now on, I
understand I have to be leash walked for my potty breaks and all outdoor activity is with a human. I heard
them say that in my case, I don't need a family with a fenced yard, I need an active family that will take me
for my bathroom walks.  I'm easy to walk on a leash, I promise!! I listen well, I don't pull.  I do get tickled,
splay my toes, stick my rear in the air and start spazzing all over the place, because I want to play, so
much!! I just need a human that will LOVE ME FOREVER.  I will love you back.  That will keep me home!! I
promise.

I did get some turkey tonight, so I'm very happy to be back at my foster home. I didn't think about getting
hungry and cold when I took off on my adventure.  Sheesh, that was a bonehead idea for Thanksgiving!

OHHHH one  more thing. My ribs don't show anymore. My foster mom needs to take new pictures, I'm
filling out nicely and I'm a very handsome boxer if I must say so myself.  Woof!!!
